About the leather
The leather used to make MAMEYO bags and accessories is from tanneries in the US and Italy. Leather is byproduct of the food industry. I (Maxine) pick the hides personally to ensure the best quality leather possible, to create durable pieces that will last for years to come. It is important to me that if needed, the pieces can be repaired rather than replaced.
When it comes to making bags and accessories majority of my products are made to order, minimizing the waste of material. I try to use as much of the hide as possible, larger offcuts are used for wallets, purses and interior pockets while smaller offcuts are used for keychains or accent pieces. And when I have time tree decorations.
One of my goals for 2020 was to launch the Reclaimed Collection. This collection focuses on using production offcuts from upholsters in the Greater Vancouver area to create iconic bags and accessories with the minimal use of new leather. My hope is for the Reclaimed Collection to be a permanent collection and to expand the variety of styles as time goes on. When it comes to packaging I’ve made it one of my 2021 goals to repurpose and reuse as much as possible.
Do you do custom projects?
Yes! I have a small number of custom slots available monthly. If you have an idea please contact me either by email email@example.com or using the contact page here on the MAMEYO website.
Previous custom projects include: passport covers, different colourways for existing MAMEYO designs, branded key chains, corporate gifts, replacement straps and camera straps.
How long will my order take to ship?
All orders are processed within 3-4 weeks (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. Each product is made to order unless stated on the product page therefore processing time will vary. An email notification will be sent when your order has shipped. Most postal orders take up to 10 days, but some can take 14+ days due to COVID delays.
I offer no guarantees on quoted shipping times, which are out of my control.

I live in Vancouver, can I pickup?
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our studio. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2-4 weeks. I will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
Do you ship Internationally?
Flat rate shipping:
$20 for small parcel tracked
$50 for large parcel tracked
If purchasing multiple items combined shipping is automatically calculated at checkout.

Small parcel products:

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. MAMEYO Goods is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
What kind of packaging do you use?
MAMEYO is committed to using sustainable packaging wherever possible. This includes re purposing existing packaging including boxes, bubble wrap and some bubble mailers. New packaging is either made from a percentage of recycled content or can be reused/recycled.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
MAMEYO accepts returns up to 14 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and I will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return. Please note that all sale items and custom (including personalised) items are final sale.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email me as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. I address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
