Morning Session Options (10am-12pm):
A6 Notebook Cover - MAMEYO
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll craft your own leather cover for an A6 notebook—perfect for journaling, sketching, or list-making. Choose from three leather colours, a range of elastic options, and personalize your cover using leather stamps. Maxine will guide you through the process, from cutting and assembling to finishing touches. All materials and tools are provided, and no experience is needed. You'll leave with a functional, one-of-a-kind piece made entirely by you.
Decorating Porcelain Earrings and Dish - Studio Eighteen
Get creative with Studio Eighteen in this hands-on ceramics workshop, where you'll decorate your own porcelain jewellery dish and a pair of earrings! Perfect for a relaxed morning of creating, no experience necessary.
You’ll be provided with one bisque-fired ring dish and a pair of porcelain earrings (with a choice of styles) to design and decorate using a variety of ceramic underglaze colours and tools. Kathy from Studio Eighteen will guide you through different techniques to personalise your pieces. All materials, tools, and kiln firing are included.
Once completed, your work will be clear glazed and kiln fired by the instructor. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after the workshop, either at the Gastown studio or at Billy Would Shop, 2168 E Hastings Street, Vancouver.
Afternoon Session Options (1.30pm-4pm):
Mini Pouch - MAMEYO
Join Maxine for a fun workshop where you’ll learn the basics of leathercraft and make your very own mini pouch. You'll choose from a range of leather, thread, and hardware options, and get hands-on with tools to bring your design to life—no experience needed. Personalize your pouch with a stamped initial and a charm in the shape of a heart, circle, or star. Small class sizes mean plenty of guidance and time to make something truly yours. All materials and tools are provided, and workshops are held at the MAMEYO Studio in Gastown, Vancouver.
Lettering Art - Lisa Taniguchi
Create your own beautifully lettering art with artist and muralist, Lisa Taniguchi! Learn lettering from a seasoned expert with clients such as YVR Airport, McDonalds and Vancouver Mural Fest.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of lettering, practice different lettering styles and create your own artwork to take home! No experience required. For your art pieces, you can choose what to create and how. Choose between art prints, sets of cards, gift tags, bookmarks and more! You can use provided writing utensils, such as pencil crayons, markers or acrylic paint. If desired, you can also bring your own materials.
