This is a 2-part workshop will take place on 2 separate evenings, 1 week apart. 

On Day 1, Maxine will guide you through the art of marbling leather, allowing you to create unique patterned pieces for the next stage of the workshop. By Day 2, your marbled pieces will be fully dried and ready for the next step.

Day 2: Jamie from Scandinazn will be teaching you how to make your marbled pieces into earrings. First, we’ll be making a project together where Jamie will be walking you through step by step to create a pair of Orbit Earrings (in one of the 4 styles pictured in the listing photo). Then, you’ll be able to get creative and design your own earrings using jewelry findings, an array of pre-punched out solid colour leather shapes and brass pieces. We’ll also have supplies for each of you to make 1 keychain with your leftover marbled leather! If you require clip-on earring findings, please let us know. You’ll end up with 2-5 pairs of earrings, depending on the complexity of your designs. 

No prior experience necessary - this workshop is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike. All the materials and tools you need will be provided, from high quality leather to a wide range of vibrant pigments. 

We will be working with paint and a leather die cutter press. 

Day 1:
- Includes 3 leather blanks (3”x3”) + sample pieces
- Extra blanks can be purchased during the workshop and extra time is allotted at the end of the workshop for you to continue marbling
- A wide range of pigments

Day 2:
- Includes all findings, pre-punched leather shapes and brass pieces to make earrings
- Possibility of making 2-5 pairs of earrings, depending on the complexity of your designs.

- Small classes up to 6 attendees
- Workshops will be held at the MAMEYO Studio in Gastown, Vancouver BC
- Session 1 will be around 1 hour in length
- Session 2 will be around 2 hours in length
- All workshops are final sale, no refunds but can be rescheduled
- Workshops are for 16 years and up
- A safety waiver to be signed at the beginning of the class
- Minimum of 2 attendees needed for workshop to go ahead

Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 7 days in advance. All workshops are final sale.

Sickness Policy:
- Sickness can happen unexpectedly. In the case of being ill and not being able to attend the workshop please notify Maxine as soon as possible to reschedule.

The studio is located a couple blocks from the Steam Clock in Gastown, Vancouver BC.
The exact location will be emailed to you with all the info for the workshop a week before your workshop date.

There is a small step at the entrance of the building, and the studio is very cozy, which may not be ideal for all accessibility needs. If you have any concerns or require accommodations, please feel free to email beforehand so we can discuss how to best support you.
